Hello, How was your weekend?
Mine was filled with thoughts of Spring!
It may surprise some of you to know that...
I don't have a green thumb for indoor plants!
There I said it, now you know...
Cut fresh flowers, plants in the garden, no problem.
My Mother other the other hand was born with a green thumb...
But somehow I didn't get it, honestly I think it skipped a generation!
I am sure of it...
My Mother collects ;0) African Violets...
In the winter months every window sill is filled with little pots of them!
In the summer they are all out on the front verandah.
And boy do they ever bloom for her continuous blooms...
Every year at this time they look so familiar to me at the store waiting for someone to take them home and make them theirs.
To fill their own window sills with the happy little plants.
So, in the cart they went and I will try once again to keep them alive before I send them home to my Mother...
She always has room for a few more ;0)
Do you have a green thumb for indoor plants?
How do you keep them thriving?
How do you keep them thriving?
Enjoy your day today!
All the Best,
Christine

Sonny I just found three ceramic pots I forgot I had and what do you think I plan on filling them with...African Violets! I plan on keeping them on the kitchen window sill.
ReplyDeleteYour African violets are so pretty. Since I moved over a year ago, I gave most of my house plants away. No I don't have a green thumb either. My grat aunt always had African violets and I remember them when I went to visit her.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are just so pretty, Christine. My mom had a real knack with African violets. I pick up a pot every now and again, never to rebloom again. I think I have some ancient food for them, tucked away in a cupboard. I'll see if that helps the ones I have here. |Where there's life, there's hope."
